I do event design: lighting, set, media. My experience with event design infuses my creative process in the development of projects and performances.

I am currently an Assistant Professor at Concordia University of the Scenography program in the Department of Theatre, with a special emphasis on sustainable and ecological performance design.

I’ve done media design for the Chaffee Planetarium at the Grand Rapids Public Museum, and created lighting designs for OOUR, Atom-r, the David Herrera Performance Company , the Asian Art Museum, the California Academy of Sciences, SFSketchfest, and Push Dance Company, among others.

I studied Theater Arts at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and was a Fulbright Student Fellow in Scenic Design to Latvia in 2001.  The lessons I learned from Latvian Scenographers like Andris Freibergs and Ieva Kaulina deeply shifted my relationship to the creative process and its articulation in space. My approach to Design is informed by my training in contemporary art practices and ecological sensibilities.
